Light Polution

This is a neat picture. It's a complilation by the DMSP (Defense Meteorlogical Satellite Program). It shows what the earth looks like from space if clouds are not blocking the view. It also shows how much of the night sky is blocked by artificial light and why most people in the city never see the night sky the way they should.

Suprising how much it looks like the borg Earth world from Star Trek: First Contact.
